Frank Ruiz Jr. Award Presented

In February, the NCO’s of the 14th Brooklyn Company E presented the Frank Ruiz Jr. Award, for excellence as a private, to John Dunn (see member bios).

The award was established in 2014 in memory of the late Frankie Ruiz, who was particularly gifted as a mentor of new recruits, as many of the current NCOs can testify.

Congratulations to Private Dunn from all of us in the 14th Brooklyn, as well as from Frank Ruiz Sr., who is now the beloved Colonel of the Union Volunteers.
